How to take a screenshot in Windows 8

Ah Windows 8. It appears to be, what I call a “marmite” OS, you either love it or hate it. Myself? I honestly don’t mind, which doesn’t quite fit into my analogy that I just mentioned but never mind! One feature that I do quite like is the new way that you can take a screenshot!

Remember when you wanted to take a screenshot of your desktop? Maybe you just had an awesome game ofĀ SolitaireĀ or some text popped up that you wanted to keep for future blackmail information. Back in the day you would have to press the “Print Screen” button, open up MS Paint and then paste it. In Windows 8 you no longer have to do that!

For Example! For some strange reason I want to show people how messy the two rows of icons are on my desktop

Next I press the Windows key and the print screen key. After this navigate to your “My Pictures” folder and sitting there is a nice little screenshot folder, with, you guessed it, the screenshot!

It’s a much easier way to get screenshots in my opinion and I have to say that it’s about time too!
