We are delighted to announce the launch of a UK Starcraft 2 organisation, Roar Gaming.

We have founded this exciting organisation with the goal of becoming the leading UK-only Starcraft 2 team. While results are important to us, our primary goal is to actively contribute to the growing and vibrant Starcraft 2 scene in the UK in any way we can.

Zerg player Dan ‘Phamut’ McDonald will become Team Captain of the new squad, with Andrew ‘AndyPandy’ Platt and Anatol ‘SouL’ Gasiorowski making up the founding team.

Our players have a strong history in the leading LAN events in the UK, including the World Championship Series UK National Finals held in June, and the Multiplay iSeries festivals.

Phamut and AndyPandy not only have a proven track record at the top end of competitive UK Starcraft 2, but they are also true ambassadors of UK gaming and we are proud that they have chosen to represent our brand.

Founder and Manager of Roar Gaming, Dan Casey, said:

“The launch of Roar Gaming today is the product of genuine hard work and dedication of an extremely talented group of individuals I have the pleasure of working with.

“Every part of this organisation has been built on the passion and love of Starcraft 2 and the UK community we all hold, and I am very excited for the future of the team.

“I am eager to see the continued progress of our Starcraft 2 roster in the coming weeks and months, and we are already looking ahead to the World Championship Series National Finals 2013.”

Team Captain, Dan ‘Phamut’ McDonald, said:

“I am particularly excited to be a part of a new organisation within the UK scene, and look forward to seeing how it all plays out.

“I would like to thank all the people who are putting in the time to get this project going, and in particular Dan Casey for giving me the opportunity to be a part of it all.

“I look forward to seeing how this project will play out, and you should all look forward to seeing more from Roar Gaming in the near future!”

The team will be making its first appearance at LAN at the Multiplay iSeries i48 at the end of March!
